It's beginning to look at lot like Christmas...
Well hello all!! The modest Christmas decorating is done and the holiday baking has begun! We always have an ornament night and this year everybody was home for it except Israel. He told me that he wasn't going to be able to come home until after Christmas because of preparation for the bowl game. (He plays football for UGA for those of you don't know) Well, he surprised me by coming his past weekend so all the kids got to get theirs. I pick an ornament out every year that reminds me and my husband of something the child has done over the past year. When they are grown and settledin their own homes, their ornaments will be theirs. Its fun pulling out the ornaments from year to year and reminiscing over why that particular ornament was chosen. There are also some pictures of some of my holiday tablescape and some updated pictures of my bunch. Hope you enjoy!!
Hi Trez,Such pretty girls...Love all your christmas decorations... thankyou for stopping over at my place...I am now a follower, do hope you will stop back over and do the same... Merry Christmas xoxo Julie
Trez- I have given my children an ornament with their name and the year on it every year since they were born too! Our daughter got married last June and had a good start on their first Christmas tree. Enjoyed your Blind Side post too--our children graduated from Briarcrest (the actual school) and we are acquainted with all involved so we really enjoyed the movie. Good luck on the bowl game and thanks for visiting!
I noticed the deer on your dining room table, especially. I've been looking for two deer since I saw some at a home on a tour, two years ago. I would love to know where you found yours.
I came for a visit ! You have a very nice table and great pictures ! Are the girls in cotton fields ? If so, I have never seen them - just in pictures - nothing like that here in Colorado. Thanks for visiting my blog :o) Kammy
Just found your blog through Puttin On The Gritz and just love it. So I became a follower. Also I HAD to followe because you are a Dawg fan!! Looking forward to many happy days reading your thoughts. Sincerely, BroncoMom
Merry Christmas! Enjoyed reading your post and love the idea of ornaments representing something that the members of the family have done that year. Thanks for dropping by to see me. :)
Everything is just so beautiful, what a great job...I love that deer, and i think that should be mine, it is so pretty. lovel the ornaments and all that they mean, what a great post....
Trez - Thanks for leaving such a wonderful comment on my post. I agree, the real meaning of Christmas must be at the center of your home. Many commented on Sunday duting the tour on my various nativity scenes. Your ornament pictures are fantastic. I also love the little sleighs on your tablescape. Thank you sharing and have a Blessed Christmas.
H1N1 flu A is still here and there is a lot of buzz in the media over it. People need to realize that this is just another strand of the flu. The regualr seasonal seasonal flu kills over 30,000 people a year and this strain has killed nowhere near that many. Most healthy adults and children do fine. Hopefully at some point the H1N1 flu vaccine will be widely available. Until then the regular seasonal flu time is fast approaching. Take time now to get vaccinated against this.
Decorating tips
BOO!! Halloween is almost here and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. The most simple way to decorate for this season is to decorate for fall with small spooky accents. This was, after Halloween is over the small accents can be removed and the fall decor will carry you through until time to decorate for Christmas. Happy fall ya'll!!
